The 2021 harvest is already well underway and will soon come to an end. We have already finished harvesting the Gewurztraminer grapes, which have very nice aromas.
Fermentations have also started and the 2021 wines look very promising with a nice balance.
Take advantage of the last beautiful autumn days to enjoy a Gewurztraminer as an aperitif on your terrace or balcony!
We used the month of August to bottle the 2020 wines. The vats are now free for the 2021 harvest, which is already fast approaching.
Riesling, Pinot-Gris, Gewurztraminer: fine bouquets, already well asserted characters, each of these wines will now patiently rest for a few months in our cellars until they reach their optimum to finally embellish your aperitifs, your meals, your desserts with the freshness and the marvellous fruity notes typical of Alsace whites.
Do not hesitate to come and visit us to discover the region and its excellent wines!
The name of this cuvée refers to a local legend but the "tears" (les larmes) also evoke what is called the crying of the vine: in spring, when the sap rises in the vines, it drips for a few days at the end of the arches.
Think Alsatian wines for your appetizers: the cuvée "Les Larmes du Dragon" with its lively attack and a beautiful complexity in mouth allows to start your meals in an ideal way.
It is not always easy to advance the pruning work outside with 35 cm of snow in mid-January and then -10°C in February: we are therefore taking advantage of this time to fine-tune the vinification of our 2020 vintage, which keeps its promises with wines of great finesse.
The 2020 harvest, which began on August 26th, finished for our wine estate on October 10th under magnificent sunshine. Beautiful grapes for beautiful wines in perspective!
After 18 months of meticulous work and a final tasting control, we have successfully obtained the approval for our Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives (late vintage) 2018.
The Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives 2018 will be available from mid August 2020.
